The Bikes Are Back in Town!

The 48th Annual Blessing of the Bikes will be taking place in Baldwin Michigan the weekend of May 16th. Organized by The Para-Dice Motorcycle Club of Grand Rapids, the Village of Baldwin expects to start seeing bikers, and a variety of vendors, arrive Thursday May 13th. For $5 per person, Sunday morning the Baldwin Airport gates open at 9am and the blessing is held on the grounds at 1:15pm. Proceeds from this event go towards the St. Ann’s Senior Nutrition Program.

The original Blessing of the Bikes occurred in 1972 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and had 4 bikes with 8 riders in attendance. Now hundreds of bikers arrive each year to receive a blessing for a safe and happy riding season. Truly a site to behold, the Blessing of the Bikes, is a joyful occasion for motorcycle enthusiasts and spectators young and old.
