Volunteering

Our dedication to the community can be seen in the time we take to volunteer.  At LOSB community service has become a culture.  We take pride in having the opportunity to serve and provide assistance to community groups, events, non-profit agencies, etc. 

In recent years our employees have made an increased effort to volunteer in our communities.  From 2006-2009 our employees gave over 9,000 hours of community service.  With an average of 70 employees bank wide from 2006-2009 that is an average of 32 hours per employee.

Below is a list of groups, events, non-profits, etc. that LOSB Employees serve (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Community Foundations (Lake County and Osceola County)
  • Chamber of Commerce (Lake County, Reed City, Mecosta County),
  • Numerous Local Churches in many capacities
  • Non-Profit Boards (Baldwin Family Health Care, MichiganWorks! West Central, Habitat for Humanity, Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Rotary International, etc.)
  • Event participation and planning (Troutarama, Ox Market & Flea Roast, Reed City Crossroads Festival, Luther Days, Idlewild Music Festival, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Shrine of the Pines Haunted Trail, Walk for Warmth, Adopt-a-Highway, LeRoy Razzasque Days, etc.)
  • Local School (PTA's, Sports Teams, Classrooms, Mentoring, etc.)
