About Us

Chartered in 1908 we have operated continuously in Lake County. Our main office is located just blocks away from the original building.

We were founded by two men; E.L. Cole and C.W. McPhail. In 1911 Cole and McPhail transferred part of the ownership to Robert E. Smith. After the passing of Cole (1920) and McPhail (1939) the bank was left in the control of Smith.
